Jennifer Lawrence plays an icy spy in the newest trailer for "Red Sparrow".

Essentially that means to commit multiple murders in various disguises, but Lawrence's character also strikes up a relationship with a Central Intelligence Agency agent who is played by Joel Edgerton.

In addition to the trailer, Red Sparrow has also released its first poster, which features Jennifer Lawrence looking incredibly fierce. But the biggest danger she poses?

The full Red Sparrow trailer builds on the wonderfully ominous teaser, this time detailing the backstory of Lawrence's character, Dominika Egorova. She only ends up becoming a "sparrow" because she loves her mother, and I imagine it's her "soul", which Jeremy Irons' General Vladimir Andreievich Korchnoi calls her weakness, that will allow her to win her own freedom from anything that would imprison her.

While she's working for the Soviet government, and seems to be working with the American CIA agent who's supposed to be her mark, a couple of lines stuck out at me from the trailer.

Mike Mularkey gets vote of confidence from ownership
Mularkey guided Tennessee to a 9-7 record and its first playoff berth in nine years this season. So when it has an effect on my family, it has an effect on me.

After giving one of the best performances of her career thus far in Darren Aronofsky's mother!

Earlier this year the studio described the film adding, "Dominika Egorova is many things".

As always, it's a pleasure to see Jennifer Lawrence on screen and Red Sparrow will certainly be no different, however the script will turn out. She is put into a no-win scenario where she must either accept training to become a Sparrow, or she will die.

Red Sparrow hits theaters on March 2, 2018. A prima ballerina whose ferocity has pushed her body and mind to the absolute limit. After much torture and the "sadistic training process" of the Sparrow School, Dominika comes out the most unsafe Sparrow the school has ever produced. She must reconcile her new life with who she once was, while also protecting those who mean the most to her-including an American CIA agent who says she can only trust him.
