'Get Out' Returning to Theaters for Free on Presidents' Day


Get Out director/writer/producer Jordan Peele, in partnership with Universal Pictures, has made a decision to show free screenings of Get Out one day only on Monday, February 19, at select AMC Theaters.

If you somehow managed to go an entire year without seeing the Oscar-nominated Get Out (or just want to see it again), you're getting a second chance.

An offer is on table on behalf of Universal Pictures and writer/director Jordan Peele to see Get Out on the big screen for a free one-day-only sceening on President's Day, February 19.

There isn't a comprehensive list of participating theaters available, but there are 55 different locations across the United States hosting these free screenings, all at 7pm local time. Adding, "The success of his stunning vision would not have been possible without the audience's passion for both Get Out's groundbreaking storytelling and its deft use of art as society's mirror". Guests must present valid ID.

Get Out broke records at the box office, raking in more than $225 million (£160 million).

The Feb. 19 freebie comes nearly exactly a year after the movie was first released.
