Pop star Fergie is being roasted online over her performance of the USA national anthem before the 2018 NBA All-Star Game.

Many say that the "Fergalicious" singer overdid her performance.

After all the criticism and trolling she received since, the Grammy Award winning singer has now broken her silence and has spoken about it. Mariah brushed off the disastrous performance in the most Mariah way possible and returned to the stage the very next year for her big comeback.

Fergie's interesting rendition of the national anthem prior to the NBA's All-Star Game was met with a lot of different reactions. However, it was obviously not seen the same way by the public. "I love this country and honestly tried my best", Fergie told TMZ.

Employing a freaky mix of bad jazz lounge vocals, screeching high notes and a painfully drawn-out finish, Fergie lit social media aflame and even produced a few notable expressions on the faces of National Basketball Association stars. "Her national anthem performance was clearly an interpretation about the state of America". WTF is going on?

Before the NBA All-Star Game tipped off on Sunday night, pop star Fergie was charged with singing the national anthem. "Leave my Fergie alone", Shaquille O'Neal said.

Even Roseanne Barr, who famously destroyed the national anthem in 1990 when she grabbed her crotch during her performance, denounced Fergie's rendition. It was different. It was sexy.

NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley jokingly said on the TNT broadcast that he "needed a cigarette" after the performance because it was just that sultry. I think mine was better low-key'.
