In a story first reported by The New York Times, Clifford's lawyer, Michael Avenatti, said he sent a letter to Cohen on Monday promising that his client would wire the money to an account of Trump's choosing by Friday.

Michael Cohen, a private lawyer for Trump, has said he paid Clifford $130,000 of his own money during the 2016 presidential election campaign. Last week, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee said "arbitration was won in the President's favor", language that suggested Trump was involved.

"They should accept this proposal". "It is more than fair".

Avenatti told CNN's "New Day" last week that Clifford would "absolutely" pay back the $130,000 if she was allowed to speak about the alleged affair.

Daniels, whose legal name is Stephanie Clifford, is now bound by a nondisclosure and nondisparagement agreement signed in October 2016. A copy of the letter was provided to The Washington Post by Avenatti. Neither immediately responded to comment requests. Daniels and Avenatti have kept up the public pressure on Cohen and Trump, even offering to return the $130,000 payment as a show of good faith. "Our entire democracy is built around the notion of free speech, competing ideas, competing debate and this situation should be no different". And if Stormy Daniels is released from the nondisclosure agreement, what does that unleash? She also hopes to allow the broadcast of her interview with 60 Minutes' Anderson Cooper.

A Trump source who spoke to BuzzFeed told said the president's team were 'preparing to file for a legal injunction to prevent it from airing'.

Lallana, the scorer of England's first goal in its World Cup qualification campaign, needs game time to show he is ready. It's true Porto were disappointing. "Now we thought we give him, if possible, the last 20".

The reason Cohen is twisting himself into such absurd logical knots is because if he acted to buy Daniels' silence and boost his client's shot at winning the White House, the payment is nearly certainly an unlawful, unreported campaign contribution.

Using pseudonyms Peggy Peterson and David Dennison, Ms Clifford and Mr Trump were to sign the agreement along with Essential Consultants, the lawsuit claims. The interview is set to air on March 18 (US time).

Interestingly enough, it comes as President Trump faces yet another allegation that he was inappropriate with another woman.

"Hush money may be commonplace in some businesses, but when it is spent to influence a federal election it must be disclosed - without exception".
