The 'Old' Taylor Swift Makes A Dazzling Comeback In 'Delicate' Music Video

Taylor Swift released a new video for her song "Delicate" at the IHeart Radio Music Awards.

Swift premiered the "Delicate" visuals remotely when accepting her iHeartRadio award for Female Artist of the Year. Did you love it or hate it?

There's no doubt that Swift has suffered from people's comments, negative thoughts, and frustration of the fans about her past relationships. She is escorted inside the event venue and is seen wearing a stunning blue gown.

But the most striking visual - the ideal pairing to reputation's biggest themes - may be her carefree rain dancing. The expression on her face is one of misery.

She's handed a magical note before she walks into a hotel lobby, where she's asked to pose for a selfie by a fan before her bodyguards spirit her away.

"Bruno Mars was another predictable victor with gongs for R&B Song ('That's What I Like") and R&B Artist, while The Chainsmokers won Best Collaboration for "Something Just Like This" with Coldplay as well as Dance Artist of the Year.

Taylor Swift's "Delicate" video bears similarities to a Spike Jonze perfume ad.

Despite the song "Delicate" sounding serious, the music video is more comedic.

Big 12 Tourney will be madness before the madness
Oklahoma State is now on a three-game win streak, and will be a tough opponent for Kansas, regardless of another conference title. But our body of work speaks for itself, and I think we have a good shot of getting in just because of our resume and all of that.

While the video is carefree and quirky on the surface, it seems to have some deeper subtext as well.

It's no secret that Taylor Swift likes to hide easter eggs in her music videos. She then moves on to other locations such as a subway station and a rainy sidewalk, where she remains invisible to others around her. Even though Swift's current era probably doesn't register as her best, her most recent album Reputation broke USA sales records and was the highest selling of 2017.

The "Delicate" video follows up the three previous music videos from the Reputation era.

Swift's closing in on the kickoff to her 2018 Reputation World Tour - she'll officially start the concert series on May 19 at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. How can someone see past your superficial reputation, to the person you really are?

Reputation was relatively well-received by most fans and critics, but there lingers a certain narrative that Taylor's not acknowledged her public stumbles.

We know a lot of Swifties out there have a lot of mixed feelings about this video, but we think it's the first sign that the old Taylor is in fact NOT dead. The note leads her to a bar, and dripping wet, the patrons see her.
