UConn women top overall seed in NCAA tourney

For the first time since the 1999 and 2000 seasons, Marquette women's basketball will make the NCAA Tournament in back-to-back seasons.

That being said, let's go through how to get a ideal bracket in this year's tournament since I know exactly what I'm talking about and break the bracket down region by region. The No. 1 seeds were fairly obvious beforehand and the committee didn't surprise us: UConn is the top overall seed, while Mississippi State, Louisville, and Notre Dame all command their own regions.

There was an outside chance the Notre Dame was not going to get a 1-seed.

Despite being a two-seed Duke can compete with any team roster wise. Georgia might have been the last team to get home-court advantage for the first two rounds, as top-four seeds do.

The UConn women's basketball team left the Final Four in Dallas last season without a national championship and without a winning streak but, players will tell you, with the perspective, motivation and preparedness that comes with a realization that championships aren't won simply because one is used to winning them.

The two planned to kill his wife, Mary Jo, but Fisher ended up carrying out the act by shooting Mary Jo in the face. Thankfully for Schumer, her husband might not care if she takes his last name.

Both Vivians and Canada earned Third Team All-America honors by espnW. Coach Ryan Odom, who was an assistant coach at Virginia Tech (2003-2010) under former Hokies coach Seth Greenberg, has already seen his team pull off one big upset this postseason - snapping a 23-game losing streak against Vermont by beating the Catamounts 65-62 in dramatic fashion in the America East Conference tournament championship. Canada offers a combination of scoring (16.8 ppg), playmaking (6.9 apg) and defense (3.2, 12th in NCAA) that few prospects can match.

The team enters the tournament as a No. 1 seed for the 21 time in program history and the 12 consecutive season. But which No. 2 seed should've gone to Albany instead? No. 11 Central Michigan, 11 a.m., Saturday No. 3 Ohio State vs. She needs just 61 points to pass Jackie Stiles for second all-time behind Kelsey Plum.

The 2-seed in the Lexington (Kentucky) region is Baylor, which at 31-1 was a team some believed had an argument to be on the one line. Rutgers went 5-6 against the RPI top-50 teams to Oklahoma's 1-8.

The Ducks, who won the Pac-12 regular season and tournament titles, opens play with 15-seed Seatte on March 16.

Not only should this region offer plenty of competitive matchups, but there will be a handful of senior prospects to watch as they close out their collegiate careers. The loss to Louisville in the ACC Tournament final was thought by some to be too much to overcome.
