Donald Glover Shares Deadpool Script That Includes "Who Bit Beyoncé?" Joke

Past year it was announced that Glover and his brother Stephen, who have both garnered critical and commercial acclaim for their work on the television series Atlanta, would helm an animated television series centered on the Marvel character Deadpool (whom you might know thanks to Ryan Reynolds' portrayal on the silver screen).

FX is not going forward with its Marvel's Deadpool animated adult action-comedy series, from Atlanta creator/executive producer/star Donald Glover and writer Stephen Glover.

Donald and his brother Stephen Glover, 29, are already collaborators on FX series Atlanta.

Although "creative differences" were cited as the reason both parties called it quits, FX issued a statement assuring its "ongoing relationship" with Marvel. That sounds an terrible lot like a cryptic way of pointing out why Donald Glover's scripts for Deadpool may not have been well-received. "And I guess that place is Freeform".

While speaking with ET last August, Stephen said that the animated Deadpool series would include "some ideas that are too insane for Atlanta". Sure, he's focusing his thoughts and forming opinions on the fuckery, but not too many superheroes are able to perfectly utilize references to YBN Nahmir, Tekashi69, and price fluctuations of Bitcoin during covert operations in faraway lands. But Glover has also built a reputation as an outsider auteur with a singular vision, which didn't seem to mesh with Marvel's famously controlling point of view.

Walmart Plans to Remove Magazine From Checkout Lane
The nation's largest retailer announced Tuesday that it was pulling Cosmo from all checkout aisles at its 5,000 stores across the country.

Glover now has the second season of "Atlanta" airing on FX.

FX canceled the show on Saturday. Read the full script, titled "Finale", below. Maybe they just want to sell toys.

"You know, I'm not mad about this whole "cancelled" thing", he says.

"It just feels like everyone wants something different, but no one wants to do anything different to get it", Deadpool continues. He also hints at episodes centering around "goat yoga" and "Taylor Swift".

The reference to Beyonce being bitten and the joke that it was actress Sanaa Lathan who bit her shows that Glover wrote this script very recently, possibly even Tuesday night. Doesn't Marvel have enough feel-good minority shows everyone supports but doesn't watch?
