There were also reports that the maths question paper was leaked. "Investigations are on. Strict action will be taken for those who are involved", warned HRD Minister Prakash Javdekar on the CBSE paper leak issue. He also promised to provide a more secure mechanism to carry out the exams.
CBSE students appeared for the Class 10 Mathematics paper on Wednesday, while the Class 12 Economics exam was held on March 26. As Ananya Sanyal, a student from Noida, said: "This question paper was not too hard, I knew answers to most of the questions".
The dates for the fresh examinations and other details will be hosted on the CBSE website within a week.
Reports about the question paper being leaked had circulated on social media and WhatsApp several hours before the paper commenced.
Refuting charges against the CBSE, he said it has a solid system in place and conducts 24 exams annually for 1.2 crore students.
However, this was not the only version of the leaked paper doing the rounds. Students said the exam was easier compared to other exams this year, but a tad bit lengthy. Teachers are presently raising a chorus about clear leaks of Class 12th Mathematics and Biology papers too.

The Maths question paper of today carried most of the questions which have NCERT solved examples. Raids were being conducted raids at 10 different places till late Wednesday night. "Ek nayi bebosta lagayenge (There will be a new leak proof mechanism installed)", Mr Javadekar told reportershere.
Prior to this, CBSE had faced the heat in 2006 when papers were leaked for Business Studies. Vyapam, SSC & CBSE Leaks have made a mockery of education.
