CANDICE Bergen won so many Emmys for her role in Murphy Brown that she ended up taking her name out of consideration because she felt she was taking the shine of the rest of the ensemble show.

The picture was posted on Candice Bergen's Instagram account and shows her with Diane English, the series creator, along with her original Murphy Brown co-stars Faith Ford, Joe Regalbuto and Grant Shaud. Bergen won five Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe Award.

CBS recently gave a 13-episode, series production commitment to a current day revival of the Network's classic comedy MURPHY BROWN from Warner Bros. As its 30th anniversary approaches, MURPHY BROWN returns to a world of cable news, social media, fake news and a very different political and cultural climate.
