Embiid told ESPN's Ramona Shelburne that there's a "pretty good chance" he plays in Game 2 or Game 3: "If it was my decision I would play, but I can't get back out on the court if I don't have the OK from them, but everything has been going well".

On the court, Embiid would average 22.9 points, 11 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.8 blocks over 63 appearances this year. Those impressive numbers helped him earn his first career All-Star nod one year after being named to the NBA All-Rookie first team. Expect Embiid to sport a mask once available to play. Games in the National Basketball Association playoffs are more physical, more intense and more meaningful than contests throughout the regular season, and Philadelphia is aiming to show it belongs on this stage against Miami.

Pitaro said that ESPN's relationship with cable providers remains "a critical part of our business and will continue to be so". While this may all only be of interest to sports fans for the moment, there's more in store that could have broader appeal.

At halftime of Game 1 of this huge best-of-seven series between the Sixers and Heat, Miami took a 60-56 lead into the locker room. It may not be long before head coach Brett Brown can reinsert Embiid back into the lineup, perhaps as early as Monday or Thursday.
