Chelsea loanee Michy Batshuayi is likely to miss the remainder of the season and could miss the World Cup after suffering an ankle injury.

There may still be a slim chance of the 24-year-old being available to be part of Belgium's squad for the World Cup starting in June.

Dortmund's Michy Batshuayi lays on the pitch with an injury during the German Bundesliga soccer match between FC Schalke 04 and Borussia Dortmund in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, Sunday, April 15, 2018.

Batshuayi appeared to roll his left ankle following a challenge from Schalke's Benjamin Stambouli, before being stretchered off deep into added time as Dortmund finished the contest with ten men.
