Capcom's mobile title, Puzzle Fighter, is soon to be no more, with the game leaving the iOS and Android stores on July 1. It was developed by Capcom Vancouver, the studio best known for the Dead Rising series.

A great reason to play it between now and then is due to Capcom gifting all players 10,000 in-game gem currency.

"As the studio is dedicating its focus to our flagship Dead Rising franchise, we have chose to sunset Puzzle Fighter", reads the Capcom Unity blog post. The game will be removed from app stores on July 1 and servers will be shut down on July 31.

Ibrahimovic also gave a humorous response to how soccer play could be elevated in the United States. Speaking later, he added: "I mean, a World Cup without me wouldn't be a World Cup".

Released only a few months ago at the end of past year, Capcom's Puzzle Fighter brought together the many familiar faces and franchises from across Capcom's properties together into a free-to-play mobile experience, though it appears that the game will be coming to an end this summer. Additionally, "the previous Classic Mode special limited event will be available at all times up until the server closure". Regina and Dr. Wily will be available in-game later today, while Ada Wong and the new stages will be released on Monday April 23.

Firstly, we'd like to thank all the fans who have supported and enjoyed our Puzzle Fighter mobile game thus far. The game's soundtrack has been fully uploaded to Soundcloud today as well.

In the meantime, in preparation for the app removal, please be aware that in-app purchases will be disabled on April 23.
