Bucks to interview Hammon for head coach

Hammon is the first female assistant in the league.

She became the NBA's first full-time female assistant when San Antonio hired her and the first female head coach of a Summer League team in 2015.

Milwaukee fired Jason Kidd as its head coach midseason.

The Milwaukee Bucks plan to interview San Antonio Spurs assistant coach Becky Hammon for the franchise's head-coaching vacancy, league sources told ESPN on Friday.

Highly respected, highly motivated and extremely knowledgable, Hammon will make a great head coach in the National Basketball Association one day if that is with the Bucks or somewhere else down the line.

"Nosotros empezamos con dificultades, la segunda parte fue mejor, presionando arriba, marcamos el segundo gol y jugamos mejor", analizó.

While Hammon isn't on the short list of head coach candidates, "Milwaukee ownership and general manager Jon Horst were intrigued enough to ask the Spurs for permission to speak with her", Wojnarowski wrote.

After Larry Eustachy's messy exit from Colorado State, Hammon surfaced as a top candidate to take over the men's program at her alma mater.

Even if they don't hire her, and skeptics may see it as a token move, the Bucks deserve some credit for giving Hammon a head coaching interview.

Interestingly, Hammon is one of three San Antonio Spurs assistants who will interview for the job. "It's got to be that she's competent, that she's ready".
