'A Star Is Born' Trailer: Bradley Cooper, Lady Gaga Sing Together


It doesn't help that the female lead in this remake is so much more talented musically than the man who is attempting to "save" her.

Although this isn't Gaga's acting debut (she won a Golden Globe for her first acting gig, as the Countess on American Horror Story: Hotel), it will be interesting to see if her usually loyal fan base embraces the movie.

If the first trailer is any indication, though, it looks like they're doing just fine.

A Star Is Born is due for release on 5 October in the U.S. and UK.

The two fall in love but as Ally's dream takes off, the couple face challenges in their personal relationship. The film is also being directed by Cooper, his first time behind the camera in an official capacity. The trailer ends with Jackson pushing Ally on a stage to perform a song titled "The Shallow", which Gaga, cowrote with frequent collaborator Mark Ronson.

The second set was a procession for Nadal, before the German put up a good fight in the third, forcing a tiebreaker. He is tied 1-1 with Marterer and trails Nadal 0-5 in their previous meetings.

Cooper makes his directing debut with A Star is Born, which was originally supposed to have been made by Clint Eastwood.

The preview feels like Crazy Heart starring Bradley Cooper, and definitely keeps the chill desert-country music vibes from the 1976 version starring Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson.
