IHOP locations in Upstate New York include restaurants in New Hartford, Vestal, Albany, Clifton Park, Buffalo, Amherst and two in Rochester. In 1973, the company made a decision to shorten the name to IHOP.

Of course, tweeters are relentlessly trying to figure out what the breakfast chain restaurant will be the worldwide house of next. A spokesperson for Dine Brands Global, which owns IHOP and Applebee's, was not immediately available for comment, CNN Money reported.
