One person is dead and nine others were airlifted to hospitals in Florida and the Bahamas after a boat exploded on Saturday, according to the U.S. Coast Guard and Royal Bahamas Police Force.

There were 10 Americans and two Bahamians on the boat, and two people were unharmed, the Royal Bahamas Police Force told ABC News. Three people on the neighboring boat jumped into the shallow waters and helped to pull at least one injured person off the disabled boat. Officials have not yet released the identities of the victims.

But the Jackson siblings didn't all agree on the Joe-was-abusive narrative: Some said it happened, a few said it never occurred. However, during some of his son's most hard times, including his 2004 molestation trial, Joseph was by his side.

The U.S. Coast Guard said it received a call from the Royal Bahamas Police Force "requesting assistance after boaters suffered from various injuries", around 11 a.m. ET Saturday morning. The others victims were being treated at Princess Margaret Hospital in Nassau.

The Coast Guard said it sent an HC-130 Hercules airplane crew with two medical personnel to transport the boaters to Bayfront Health in St. Petersburg, Fla. An investigation into what caused the explosion is ongoing.
