Trump just made two problematic admissions about the Trump Tower meeting

President Trump asserted that the Trump Tower meeting was a routine part of politics and was "totally legal and done all the time".

"The Fake News hates me saying that they are the Enemy of the People only because they know it's TRUE", Trump tweeted from his Bedminster golf resort in New Jersey.

President Donald Trump on Sunday appeared to change his story about a 2016 meeting at Trump Tower that is pivotal to the special counsel's investigation. Mueller is investigating Russian interference in the 2016 election and possible coordination with Trump campaign aides.

Last July, Sekulow had said the president "didn't sign off on anything" in regards to the Trump Tower meeting.

Whether it's the Trump Tower meeting in June 2016, or private messages back and forth with Wikileaks, Don Jr.'s name continues to pop up in regards to the current Mueller probe.

CNN reported last month that Michael Cohen, the president's long-time personal lawyer and self-described "fixer" was willing to tell Mueller that Trump did know about the meeting in advance. Sekulow said. "The question is, what law, statute or rule or regulation has been violated?"

At the time, Donald Trump Jr issued a statement explaining that he and the lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya, had "primarily discussed a programme about the adoption of Russian children".

"The tweet was terrible for Trump and a gift to prosecutors in several respects", Rubin opined.

"They talked about the adoption stuff which was actually a big thing at the time, but nothing happened", Trump said in July 2017 about the meeting.

"Most politicians would have gone to a meeting like the one Don jr attended in order to get info on an opponent", Trump wrote on Twitter.

Trump has denied he had any prior knowledge of the meeting and repeated that claim on Sunday. Any legal battle over whether the president can be compelled to testify could go all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court, the lawyer, Jay Sekulow, said on ABC's "This Week".

Also, if any Americans aided in disseminating the Russian hacked data, then they could be roped in as co-conspirators in Mueller's indictment of 12 Russian intelligence officers (GRU) for hacking the DNC, DCCC, and Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign during the 2016 election and leaking through DCLeaks and Guccifer 2.0.

The first is that Trump appears to have broken some new ground here when it comes to admitting the true goal of the Trump Tower meeting with a Kremlin-aligned lawyer - and even further contradicted the initial statement he helped draft about it.

USA media then reported that the United States president had been involved in the initial statement his son issued on the meeting. They purposely cause great division & distrust. "They are very unsafe & sick!" Mueller was appointed to take over the probe after the firing.
