Netflix has released the first trailer for the upcoming historical epic Outlaw King, from Hell or High Water director David Mackenzie. The film serves as director David Mackenzie's follow-up to Hell or High Water, his Best Picture nominee, and despite Chris Pine's starring roles in both, the two look pretty different. And would you rather watch it in a theater or at home on Netflix?
Revenge is clearly going to be a key theme in Outlaw King.
"We have an wonderful cast and crew working at the top of their game, and we are really looking forward to spreading some Scottish goodwill on the great city of Toronto". The next few years would be full of tumult, as Robert the Bruce took on Edward I and Edward II, eventually signing a peace treaty with Edward III. That's probably why Netflix is giving Outlaw King a limited theatrical release as well, before releasing it worldwide on November 7. One other strike against it is the casting of Chris Pine.

Based on a true story, the film stars Chris Pine as Robert the Bruce, a man who transformed from defeated nobleman to outlaw hero during Edward I's occupation of medieval Scotland.
Outlaw King will depict Robert seizing the Scottish crown, and rallying supporters to fight back against the mighty army of the tyrannical King and his volatile son, the Prince of Wales.
