Potential tropical cyclone expected to move through the Florida Keys on Monday

As of 11 a.m., Gordon was located about 60 miles west-northwest of Key Largo, Florida.

Storm surges from 3 to 5 feet are expected from Shell Beach to the Mississippi-Alabama border, and from 2 to 4 feet from Navarre, Fla., to the Mississippi-Alabama border, and from Shell Beach to the mouth of Mississippi River.

Hurricane warnings are now in effect until further notice for coastal MS and tropical storm warnings remain in effect for the rest of the viewing area.

Weather forecasters have issued storm warnings for portions of South Florida and the Florida Keys. The official track by the National Hurricane Center predicts a landfall between Bay St. Louis and Gulfport early Wednesday morning as of the 4pm Monday advisory.

Several storm systems will bring flash flooding to the eastern US from the Gulf Coast to the Great Lakes.
