Sane withdraws from Germany squad

Manchester City winger Leroy Sane has been released from global duty by Germany.

The Manchester City winger was brought on as a late substitute when he replaced Marco Reus in the 83rd minute as Joachim Low's men drew 0-0 with France in the UEFA Nations League opener on Thursday.

Leroy Sane has thanked coach Joachim Low and the German FA (DFB) for allowing him to attend the birth of his daughter.

Regardless of the reason for Sane's departure, it is another chapter in a tumultuous time with the national team for the ex-Schalke star, who is yet to start a Premier League game this season.

Sane was left out of Germany's squad for the World Cup in Russian Federation.

Syria's FM stresses determination to recapture last major rebel stronghold of Idlib
Assad's forces have already begun massing in the areas of Idlib already under its control and on its southern and eastern flanks. Abdurrahman said two other bridges remain in the area and could be used by government forces to move in on the rebel stronghold.

It seemed an worldwide break could act as a respite for the 22-year-old, who's suddenly found himself fighting for his place at both club and country.

He has won 11 caps for Germany since his debut in a friendly against France on November 13, 2015.

Sane recently withdrew from the Germany squad, too, having been called up again by Joachim Low, and the reason has now been revealed, with him being present at the birth of his daughter.

"You sometimes get the feeling that it doesn't matter to him if we win or lose", the Real Madrid player said prior to playing Les Blues on Thursday, September 6.

Pep however, rubbished reports suggesting that he had a problem with Sane's attitude saying that Sane was only omitted from their most recent game because of City's endless attacking options.
