Ibrahimovic joined the Galaxy in March on transfer from English Premier League's Manchester United.

The Swedish star whipped in the goal with a roundhouse kick on a volley off of a looping pass from Jonathan dos Santos in the 43rd minute to reach the milestone.

Zlatan's heroics however were not enough to bring Galaxy the victory.

Toronto eventually won the game 5-3.

Anyway, the Swede has now joined Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi as the only active professional players with 500 career goals to their name.

The World Cup victor attempted and failed to imitate Zlatan's acrobatic prowess before saying, "I tell you to play football and you watch too much Jackie Chan, Jet Li and Bruce Lee".

"I am happy for Toronto because they will be remembered as my 500th victim", said Ibrahimovic.

It is not the first time the former Sweden global has scored a golazo in the MLS. It reminds me of a goal I did in Ajax.

Los Angeles Galaxy forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic (9) scores a goal during the first half against Toronto FC at BMO Field.

"It came from a cross and I turned around and hit it".

"It is an incredible achievement", said Galaxy coach Dominic Kinnear of Ibrahimovic's goal. You'll notice in thee video above that he kept his eye on the ball, had the awareness of where the goal was and just kissed it off the post.
