Police respond to possible active shooter in Middleton, Wisconsin

Foulke said three people were injured in the shooting, though the City Administrator Mike Davis said earlier that the number of injured was four. She didn't have any other information. She didn't know the extent of the shooting. The fifth person was a walk-in patient who was treated and released.

Emergency officials said a shooting was reported around 10:30 a.m.at 1850 Deming Way, which houses companies Esker Inc. and WTS Paradigm, Wisconsin State Journal reported.

Middleton Police announced an active shooter at WTS Paradigm, a software company located off University Ave., in the late morning. "We have a good group".

Cops in bulletproof vests and Federal Bureau of Investigation agents were seen arriving shortly after a perimeter was established outside the business, which sits in a suburb of the city of Madison.

Gabe Geib, a customer advocate at Esker Software, said he was working at his desk when he heard a couple of shots coming from next door which "sounded like claps".

Speaking to Madison.com, Andrew King, who works nearby described what he saw saying, "I saw a dude walking in with a gun inside the building". He says a recorded voice message played overhead just after 10 a.m. that told employees to take cover and stay away from windows. Multiple businesses are listed at the location.
