Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey will have his pick of any league in the world when he leaves Arsenal, according to Wales boss Ryan Giggs.

Ramsey was thought to have been offered a four-year contract before Arsenal back-tracked in an effort to manage their wage bill, which last season soared above £200m.

Caerphilly-born Ramsey's existing contract expires on 30 June 2019, which means he will become a free agent next summer - unless he is sold in January. They don't grow on trees. So if he does go, somebody is getting a very good player. I was more than happy with him when he came away with us last time.

And the youngster was keen to thank Arsenal fans afterwards for all the support they've given him since he joined the club at the age of ten in 2010.

However, this will be our third game in eight days and the players could be feeling the effects of a 5,000-mile round trip to Azerbaijan so we shouldn't be taking anything for granted against a Fulham side that sit 17th in the table.

Ramsey was allowed to miss Arsenal's Europa League trip to Qarabag to be with his heavily pregnant wife Colleen and Giggs said similar leeway would be granted by Wales, who face Spain in Cardiff on Thursday before travelling to Ireland for a Nations League clash.

"Aaron can play anywhere and for any club, he's suited to any league", Giggs said.

One thing we can say with certainty is that if Smith Rowe does fail to make the grade, it won't be through a lock of focus or drive. That's a plus, but we are just monitoring the situation.
