Two weeks before Vinita Nanda's Facebook post, in which she's accused Alok Nath of raping and brutalizing her 19 years ago, and later making it hard for her to get work, shocked social media, actress Tanushree Dutta revived a decade-old allegation of harassment against Nana Patekar.
"Few minutes after he left there was a knock on my door I opened the door thinking it was him again.it was an inebriated Alok Nath I instinctively tried to shut the door but he pushed it and lunged at me, I stepped aside he went flying past me into the room". He continued making calls to her and knocking on her door.
Nath kept traumatising her with phone calls after that which she kept "off the hook" most of the times and shared how she "dreaded the ring" and fell sick, was a "nervous wreck" and couldn't shoot later. "He said he was an alcoholic and that he had destroyed everything, his family, his marriage and I was like his daughter".
Shivpuri, who worked with Nath on films like Hum Saath Saath Hai, Pardes, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and TV shows like Ghar Ek Sapnaa, said he was always nice to her but she heard stories from other female actors. It was so shocking for me because I couldn't put these two faces together. Tele-series Tara writer Nanda is the first one to break her silence against Nath.
