And some in the Yankees organization believe, as the Red Sox broadcast hypothesized, that NY ace Luis Severino was tipping his pitches Monday in Game 4 of the AL Division Series, Fancred Sports reported Thursday. Unfortunately for them, Severino picked a bad time to turn in one of his worst performances of the season.

In the ALDS Game 3 loss at Yankee Stadium, Severino was pulled with no outs in the fourth inning. In fact, after the second inning, he threw only one slider among 26 pitches to nine batters before exiting the Red Sox win that set up their clinching victory Tuesday.

Boston broadcaster Lou Merloni pointed out there was a tipping issue as the Red Sox were able to lay off Severino's slider.

More than 375,000 people along the Gulf Coast were given mandatory evacuation orders, but many people defied the calls. But it moved fast and intensified quickly, and emergency authorities lamented that many people ignored the warnings.

People in the Yankees organization are convinced Masahiro Tanaka was tipping his pitches during Monday night's 16-1 disaster against the Red Sox, Jon Heyman of WFAN and Fancred Sports reports.

Could that be because he didn't warm up properly and on time?

Teams nowadays tend to study video on opposing pitchers for hours on end, so hurlers must be diligent about not giving off any tells that their opponents can pick up on.
