Saracens were left counting the cost of a hard-fought victory in Glasgow on Sunday and England coach Eddie Jones, about to name his squad for the end of year Tests, might share their pain.

The injury, which forced him from the field during the second half of a 13-3 win for the Premiership champions at Scotstoun, will require surgery and is sure to rule him out of England's autumn fixtures against South Africa, Japan, New Zealand and Australia.

The Vunipola brothers, Mako and Billy, both limped off as did young lock Nick Isiekwe, who made his England debut a year ago. Isiekwe suffered an ankle sprain and is waiting to be assessed by a consultant with regards to the full extent of the injury.
