Arsenal striker Lacazette: Premier League has more spectators than fans

Lyon's stadium holds 59,000 fans, nearly exactly the same as Arsenal's home, but it appears Lacazette holds the French fans in slightly higher regard.

After all, the 27-year-old Frenchman had made his name at the Ligue 1 club, made over 200 appearances and scored 100 times.

Lacazette was more encouraging when questioned on his relationship with strike partner Aubameyang after the 5-1 win over Fulham - a game which saw them both score twice.

Lacazette, however, has recently spoken about his time in France's top league and why he thinks it can be better than the Premier League in one area.

So much so, Lacazette has said he misses the supporters in Ligue 1 compared to what he has experienced in England. "In England, the fans are more spectators than supporters", he said in a visit to Gerland, his home town.

'There's a better atmosphere in French stadiums'.

Just before the worldwide break, Emery's in-form Arsenal side thrashed Fulham 5-1 and both Lacazette and Aubameyang scored a brace each. "We talk every day and we love working together".

Where will Arsenal finish in the league this season?

The Gunners lost their first two games of the season, against Manchester City and Chelsea, but have since followed it up with victories in the Premier League, Champions League and Carabao Cup.
