Depay, Van Dijk lead Netherlands past struggling Germany in Nations League

Van Dijk was sent home from global duty after his country's 3-0 win over Germany in the UEFA Nations League - but only as a precautionary measure.

However, Koeman has shut down claims that Van Dijk will face a spell on the sidelines, insisting that his exclusion from the national team's upcoming clash with Belgium is based only on precautionary measures.

The current worldwide break has been "kinder" to Liverpool than usual, with Virgil van Dijk the latest player to depart from duty as a precaution.

The resounding win was completed late on when the lively Depay's dummy put Wijnaldum through on goal and the midfielder drilled the ball low into the net to record the Netherlands' largest ever victory over Germany.

These are dark days for the Germans, still reeling from their woeful World Cup display when they crashed out early after finishing bottom of their group.

Depay then compounded Germany's misery by stroking home a pass from Quincy Promes three minutes from time after the pair got in behind the defence.

Más tarde, las denuncias de la mujer fueron desmentidas por la grabación de la cámara de la seguridad del local. El hecho ocurrió el miércoles en tienda de autoservicio en Nueva York mientras la mujer pagaba sus productos.

Then, Memphis Depay doubled the lead with 3 minutes remaining, after a quick counter-attack.

Loew had promised an improved performance from the Germans.

Striker Timo Werner said: "We missed out on scoring when we had the chances to do so".

The Dutch had to soak up pressure and looked to hit the visitors on the break - something they managed on repeated occasions - but both Depay and Wijnaldum drew blanks, when the former's effort was saved by Manuel Neuer before Wijnaldum shot wildly over the bar with just the keeper to beat.
