Liverpool receive massive injury boost ahead of Huddersfield test at Anfield

Virgil van Dijk will be fit to feature for Liverpool when they face Huddersfield Town on Saturday evening, Netherlands boss Ronald Koeman has confirmed.

So far, it seems that while some have sustained minor fitness issues, the club have been able to liaise with their worldwide counterparts to ensure these do not develop further.

Mohamed Salah left the Egypt squad after limping off in the closing stages of Friday's 4-1 victory over Swaziland, with assistant manager Hany Ramzy claiming it was a "strong muscle strain" and is "not serious".

Van Dijk has been impeccable at the back for the Reds this season and has played a major role in the side, fixing their previously leaky defence.

Then, Memphis Depay doubled the lead with 3 minutes remaining, after a quick counter-attack. Striker Timo Werner said: "We missed out on scoring when we had the chances to do so".

The Mirror says Van Dijk has been outstanding so far this season and continued his fine form as Holland thrashed Germany on Saturday.

Van Dijk was recently sent home from his worldwide duties with the Netherlands after picking up a minor injury, prompting concerns from Liverpool fans.

Klopp should, therefore, be able to call upon a well-rested trio as part of his starting lineup at the John Smith's Stadium.
