According to the email, 48 people were terminated in the last two years for sexual harassment, including 13 who were senior managers and above. Sources say Singhal resigned after an investigation, but took a pay package worth millions in exchange for a non-compete promise.

It reads, in part: "Today's story in the New York Times was hard to read".

The ubiquity of men in the tech industry has given rise to a "bro-grammer" stereotype that infamously exploded into public view in 2017, when a former Uber employee said she had suffered sexual harassment on the job while the firm routinely ignored her complaints.

The investigation, which The Information first reported on, centered on an extramarital affair Rubin had with a female Google employee in which he allegedly coerced her into performing oral sex in a hotel room sometime in March of 2013.

Rubin's golden parachute wasn't a fluke, according to the Times: two other senior executives were let go with multimillion-dollar payouts while Google kept silent about the sexual misconduct accusations against them. The report is quoting two company executives with knowledge of the episode, though they have not be been named.

Sam Singer said Mr Rubin chose to leave Google in 2014 to launch a venture capital firm and technology incubator called Playground. The Android founder's $90 million was paid in installments of about $2 million a month for four years, according to the report.

PEACE IN KOREA? North, South Korea 'WITHDRAW TROOPS' from DMZ Village
South Korea on Thursday had confirmed its soldiers had found war remains in a different front-line area. About 28,500 US troops are deployed in South Korea to deter possible aggression from North Korea.

"This year to date, we have added over 9,000 new employees in the U.S.", Pichai said in a call with analysts on Thursday coinciding with fiscal third quarter earnings report for Google parent company Alphabet.

The email, obtained by CNBC, said 13 of the 48 people dismissed were senior managers and above and that none got an exit package on departure.

However, the story, which cites the court documents pertaining to Rubin's ongoing divorce with his wife and statements by more than three dozen Google executives, revealed that the story didn't end there.

People familiar with the matter told the publication that Google could have fired page without giving him anything in his exit package.

Pichai's email said Google now has stricter policies in place. Because we know that reporting harassment can be traumatic, we provide confidential channels to share any inappropriate behaviour you experience or see.

Rubin, who briefly stepped away from his smartphone company Essential after it was reported he was involved in an "inappropriate relationship" at Google, also reportedly kept bondage sex videos on his Google work computer, and dated multiple women who worked at Google. You can find many ways to do this at go/say something.
