Trump will be campaigning most heavily on behalf of Republican Senate candidates, which is projected as a much closer battle than the House, which is likely to flip to the Democrats.

In the latest sign of just how nationalized the race for Florida governor has become, former President Barack Obama will join Democrats Andrew Gillum and U.S. Sen.

Trump plans a heavy schedule of campaigning and fundraising through the midterm elections.

"President Obama knows what's at stake in this election -- protections for people with pre-existing conditions, funding for public schools, and leadership to restore our environment", Gillum said in a prepared statement released Monday morning by the Florida Democratic Party. The outcome will determine whether the Republican Party maintains control of Congress.

The president is set to hold rallies in Huntington, West Virginia and Indianapolis, Indiana on November 2 and return to Florida and Montana the day after.
