Now at least part of the week will be spent dealing with a minor fire caused by one of their rookies. He was told to keep going straight, but made the turn anyway and almost ran over the officer at the scene.

CBS2's Lisa Rozner reported Lauletta allegedly failed to obey a police officer's directions.

Before Manning spoke, Coach Pat Shurmur said the 15-year veteran remains his starting quarterback, but he will be evaluating everything during the upcoming bye week. "This is obviously very disappointing".

More details of the arrest are expected to be released later Tuesday.

With Eli Manning's struggles, there has been speculation that the New York Giants might make a move to see what they have in rookie Kyle Lauletta.

Ross, the Giants' former vice president of player evaluation, shared his opinion on Tuesday morning's episode of "Good Morning Football". Mr. Lauletta was observed by officers operating his 2017 Jaguar in a risky manner in heavy traffic near the Pleasant Avenue approach to Route 495. He was reportedly stopped by another officer nearby.

"He was then arrested and charged with eluding police, a third-degree crime, obstructing administration of law, and resisting arrest, which are disorderly person offenses".

"Upon further investigation, it was learned that a 2017 Jaguar registered to Mr. Lauletta was involved in a similar incident at the same location [Monday]".
