A Popeyes restaurant in Texas is ready to dish out free food to fans if Derrick Lewis beats UFC heavyweight champ Daniel Cormier at UFC 230 Saturday night at Madison Square Garden.
With the fight only three days out now, Lewis has again addressed the issue of why he is fighting Cormier, and not someone else. "He didn't want to wait until January and hear all the media talk about 'Why is Cormier not fighting for the 205 pounds belt?' They're already saying he's basically scared to fight Jones right now, anyway". UFC 230 Embedded is an all-access, behind-the-scenes video blog leading up to the heavyweight title fight taking place Saturday, November 3 on Pay-Per-View.
"He feels like it would be flawless to fight a guy like me that don't have as much skills on short notice before the Jones fight and he thinks it's going to be an easy fight for him".
Prince Turki Al-Faisal denounces demonization of Saudi Arabia
Turkey is trying to extradite 18 suspects detained in Saudi Arabia so they can be tried in a Turkish court. The Saudi attorney general has since acknowledged that Khashoggi was killed in a premeditated murder .
The official UFC website is no longer recognizing Daniel Cormier as the light heavyweight champion, he is, however, still listed as the heavyweight champ.
"No (it's not a bad idea), it's OK", Cormier said. The UFC has built up Conor McGregor, built his backstory and I love him. The reigning heavyweight and light heavyweight champion has promised his children that he will turn his full attention to them soon enough and he's accomplished everything he's wanted to accomplish since transitioning to mixed martial arts from wrestling several years ago. He certainly thinks so whilst refusing to call himself a mixed-martial-artist. "I know y'all guys don't expect me to come in here and get no submissions or nothing technical, you're going to get what you've been seeing, it's going to be all heart".
"Brock's going to be there [at UFC 230] I guess".
