The Croatia global singled out Liverpool teammate Virgil van Dijk among the world's best defenders, alongside Thiago SIlva of PSG and Ramos' defensive partner at Madrid Raphael Varane.

In an interview with COPA90 Lovren defended his comments, "I said one of the best defenders, and I think I didn't say anything wrong".

Asked to name his top defenders in the world, the 29-year-old names himself alongside clubmate Virgil van Dijk, Real Madrid's Raphael Varane, and PSG's Thiago Silva.

Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren has told Copa 90 that Real Madrid's Sergio Ramos "has many more mistakes than me" as the ill feeling between the two clubs continued.

Ramos is not a popular man on Merseyside after he injured Mohamed Salah in Real's 3-1 win over Liverpool in the Champions League final last season.

Asked to rank his top five current defenders, the Croatia global said: "Virgil [van Dijk], I would say, because we had a great season".

The spot includes expletives uttered by Bracamontes during his trial professing regret at not killing more officials. Senator Jeff Flake, one of Trump's most prominent Republican critics, said on Twitter Thursday.

'I like Varane, he deserves a lot of credit, ' Lovren added.

"People always catch you on mistakes and they don't look at the good things you do".

Ramos was public enemy number one after Liverpool's defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League final and Lovren is clearly not a fan. "From my point of view, people were saying I had a hard season but I don't agree with that".

'When you do a mistake but you win 5-1, 5-2 then nobody sees the mistake.

The Liverpool and Croatia defender has enjoyed a stunning 2018, reaching both the Champions League and World Cup finals, but his catalogue of errors previously were still stuck in the minds of most onlookers.

The defender went on to take a dig at Sergio Ramos saying, "Sometimes I don't deserve the hate". Without mistakes you can not be where you are now'. "I was second after Thierry Henry, I searched that information", he said. Definitely. I think in this moment and in previous years.
