Phoenix Suns buy out center Tyson Chandler’s contract

While the 36-year-old is not the All-NBA defender he once was, Chandler would give the Lakers some much-needed depth at center as Kyle Kuzma, Johnathan Williams and Ivica Zubac have each spent time backing up JaVale McGee at the five for Los Angeles so far this season.

However, the Lakers' defense is 18.3 points per 100 possessions worse when McGee is off the floor, meaning Chandler's role, as well as his skillset, could prove to be a good fit with Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Lakers are expected to sign center Tyson Chandler after he completes a buyout with the Phoenix Suns, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN and Marc Stein of the New York Times. Chandler was in the final season of his four-year deal with the Suns, and was due to make about $13.5 million this season. And with the Suns no closer to winning than the day he signed with them, and Chandler being 36, it makes ideal sense that he'd be looking for a new home.

The prorated minimum for Chandler once he clears waivers will be $2.1 million. He averaged 7.2 points and 9.5 rebounds while shooting 62.8 percent from the field in 166 games during his time in Phoenix.

Si bien no dió el nombre del actor, detalló que él era " mucho mayor " que ella, y manifestó: " Las mujeres queremos sentirnos deseadas, bellas, pero yo seguía siendo una niña .

"We love the fact that we're going to get another veteran", Lakers star LeBron James said Saturday night.

But the Lakers don't need prime Tyson Chandler.

Chandler was drafted by the Los Angeles Clippers with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2001 National Basketball Association draft, but has never played for either the Clippers or the Lakers.

It's his highest since playing 27.4 minutes for the Washington Wizards during part of the 2011-12 season.
