Makers of Vijay’s Sarkar agree to modify controversial scenes

Meanwhile, the official figures of the day 1 collection are being awaited. That is leading to massive collections for the film in Tamilnadu as well as other states. The film has earned around Rs 30 crore in Tamil Nadu, highest for any Tamil Film so far while it has earned Rs 2.37 crore in Kerala, beating the Rajinikanth's Kaala which had earned Rs 1.75 crore. Yes, the action-masala movie has got thunderous start not just in Tamil Nadu, but in neighbouring states of Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra along with Telangana.

Coming to Karnataka, the Thalapathy Vijay-starrer has earned over Rs 5.5 crore from 190+ screens. Even in Andhra Pradesh and Nizam region, which is considered as Vijay's weakest centers in the south, the film performed well at the box office. It has not only conquered Baahubali 2, but has also created several new records in India and overseas as well.

Already there is a controversy as AIADMK leaders alleging that Sarkar movie insulted Jayalalitha and her schemes that generated curiosity among people. Hindustan Times tried to reach the filmmakers regarding the protest, however, they have refrained from responding.
