Sarri confirms Eden Hazard will play against BATE Borisov

Chelsea coach Maurizio Sarri explained the decision to leave Morata behind - the Spain worldwide has scored three goals in the Blues' previous two Premier League games.

However, the report says that Sarri has "ruled out" the possibility of Loftus-Cheek being sent out on loan for the second half of the campaign even though his playing time in the Premier League has been limited. The Blues are now six points clear of the three other teams in Group L with just nine points to play for and a win would see them unreachable for the team in third.

With that in mind, it could be argued that it would have been good to have played Hazard anyway, but he will feature for other reasons rather than that, as the Italian confirmed when he faced the press.

Sarri also confirmed that Alvaro Morata has remained back in London to train rather than play another match.

"In the last match he played 30 minutes, the best for tomorrow is that he plays 45 to 50 minutes".

Chelsea went straight onto the front foot after the restart - presumably after some stern words from Sarri - and the visitors found the breakthrough in the 52nd minute as Giroud directed a glancing header inside the near post after meeting Emerson's cross from the left flank.

'But I don't want him to be anxious about scoring because, for us, he's very important and very useful.

"But I know very well strikers want to score. For his confidence I think it is very important".

Chelsea would have liked to score another, but instead it was BATE pressing late on.

"They played very well", Sarri added. "They were unlucky. I think they could draw the match".

Chelsea have qualified with two matches to spare, the November 29 home clash with Greece's PAOK and the December 13 trip to Vidi in Hungary. Now we want the second target, to win our group. We didn't manage the last 15 minutes well. "In February we will have for sure another target, but the first one is very important".
