Condoleezza Rice: NFL head coach?
Laugh all you want, but the Cleveland Browns aren't.
Perhaps, in the eyes of Browns owner Jimmy Haslam and General Manager John Dorsey.
Israel's Netanyahu takes over defense job as coalition falters
Israel will pick a date to hold early elections on Sunday following a tumultuous week for the nation. On Friday, Lieberman toured southern Israel and accused Netanyahu of being soft on terrorism.
If the Browns do give Rice an interview, she would become the first woman ever to interview for an National Football League head coaching job.
The Browns fired head coach Hue Jackson in late October after the team opened the season 2-5-1. No woman ever has served as head coach for a team in the four major USA sports leagues. So maybe it's time to start looking for radical solutions, although most people would think appointing the former Secretary of State of the United States as the team's new head coach would be taking things a little too far.
"She's an incredible person", a Browns source told Schefter. After leaving the world of politics, Rice became involved in the world of sports, serving as a member of the College Football Playoff Committee and chairing the Commission on College Basketball.
Even if Rice doesn't get the job, an interview reportedly "could" lead to the Browns hiring her either in an official capacity or as a consultant.
