Broncos take down Chargers on last-second field goal

The Los Angeles Chargers defensive end is expected to make his season debut on Sunday against the Denver Broncos, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. That changed on Sunday when they dropped a game to the Broncos at home, one in which they accumulated 479 yards of offense and converted nine of 15 tries on third down. The Chargers hadn't lost in almost two months - 35-23 to the Rams at the Coliseum on September 23 - and the defense couldn't come up with the late, game-saving stop it had made twice previously this season.

From that point on, it felt like the Chargers were trying to hold on against a desperate Broncos team.

It was McManus's first field goal since missing a game-winning boot against the Texans in Week 9.
