Giants likely to avoid Mitch Trubisky this week

Trubisky has been limited in practice so far this week, still not throwing the ball but reportedly participating in some footwork drills.

After Trubisky was a surprise addition to the injury report on the Monday following the Minnesota Vikings game, it was quickly learned that he sustained a shoulder injury thanks to a late hit from Harrison Smith.

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning seems to face relentless criticism from the local media and Big Blue fans alike - something that has been going on since 2004 - but when it comes to the opinion of his opposition, rarely do they share the same sentiments.

We need to give them chances. "It's not an easy decision for UEFA to make either", he told a news conference on Wednesday. We had a long trip but for us, it doesn't matter about where we play.

"I have a lot of respect for him", Nagy told reporters on Wednesday.

"It's just hard because these guys want to be out there and they want to play but sometimes we need to protect the player from the player. And they ultimately understand that, so we'll just go day-by-day, we'll have them both ready and we'll see where it takes us".

Verteran Chase Daniel, who led Chicago to a 23-16 win over the Detroit Lions last week, will start once again in place of Trubisky.
