How to Watch Alabama vs. Georgia

The SEC title game took a different path. Georgia put quite a beating on Tagovailoa, who was picked off twice, spent much of his spare time in the medical tent and was largely ineffective as the Bulldogs built a pair of two-touchdown leads.

Enter Hurts, who led Alabama to the national title game as a freshman but lost the starting job to Tagovailoa. Spotting an opening up the middle, he took off on a 15-yard TD run with 1:04 remaining.

"How do you manage that?" When he trotted off the field after the winning TD, Tagovailoa was one of the first ones to greet him on the sideline. "You've got to have a tremendous amount of class and character to put team first, knowing your situation is not what it used to be". The Heisman Trophy candidate was helped off the field and didn't return to the game. Alabama could potentially reach the playoff even with a loss, while Georgia likely has to win to qualify. That injury knocked him out of the game, and it will keep him out for the next two weeks.

Hurts led the Crimson Tide to the national championship as a freshman, only to lose the starting job to Tagovaila during the title game past year.

"I know at Alabama, there's always an opportunity to win", Hurts said. "I'm so happy, so happy for everybody".

Liverpool upped the tempo after the break and twice went close through Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane . Pickford also made his mark with a crucial save on Xherdan Shaqiri in the 34th minute.

But a loss, especially a lopsided one, could knock the Bulldogs out of the No. 4 spot, as Oklahoma and Ohio State are now breathing down Georgia's neck for that last ticket into the playoff.

Kirby Smart is a good coach. He's quickly built Georgia into a national powerhouse, but he keeps coming up short against his ex-boss.

For the second time in about 11 months, the Bulldogs squandered a double-digit lead to the Crimson Tide.

The Sooners will now await word on if they have made their way into the College Football Playoff following the loss of fourth-ranked Georgia on Saturday. "They've been doing it for a lot of years".
