Seahawks offensive grades vs. 49ers: Russell Wilson is a beast!

For large portions of the game it felt as if the Seahawks were simply on cruise control, and at no point did it feel like they were in any danger of letting San Francisco make it a competitive game. You lose your starting safety, you lose your backup safety, you lose person after person, you lose two of your Will linebackers and then [Malcolm Smith is] kind of beat up.

Here's the Brown touchdown that proceeded it, too.

Avoiding a letdown against an inferior opponent, the Seattle Seahawks dominated the San Francisco 49ers from start to finish in a 43-16 ambush at CenturyLink Field on Sunday. And quarterback Nick Mullens continues to at least provide hope that he has a future as a backup, putting up 414 passing yards and a pair of touchdowns Sunday for a passer rating of 95.3. Tampa Bay was able to limit Nick Mullens to 221 passing yards as the 49ers did not do a good enough job of finishing drives. Breida was efficient with his touches, running for 106 yards on just 14 carries. He's holding out for Sherman's black jersey San Francisco sometimes wears at home.

Will Richard Sherman get the last word in his return to Seattle?

The 2-10 Niners' pursuit of the top pick also got some help from other bottom-dwelling teams who offered surprising results Sunday afternoon.

El festival del Arsenal siguió con el tanto de Lacazette tras un grave error de Juan Foyth . Los locales dominaron al Tottenham en los primeros minutos y su insistencia tuvo premio.

Former teammate Doug Baldwin also talked about Sherman's release, saying he wasn't happy with how the cornerback's time ended with the franchise. Look for Sherman to do everything he can by bouncing back in Seattle.

Wilson, however, was much more complimentary of his former teammate, claiming Sherman was "as good as it gets at corner" and said he has a lot of respect for him and the way he plays the game. We'll see if the team's good luck continues in the second half.

The Seahawks scored more than 27 points on offense for the seventh time in eight games, but there's still plenty for the team to clean up heading towards Monday's critical matchup with the Vikings. Penny averaged 9.3 yards a carry. Wagner cut in front of 49ers running back Jeff Wilson at the goal line, picked off Mullens' pass at the 2 and ran past Mullens and every other Niners player to the end zone.

The Seahawks have won 10 out of the past 11 meetings against the 49ers, including the last nine in a row. The normally boisterous Seattle crowd was quieter than normal, and the two teams were a bit less chippy, as the game's outcome was never in question. Turnovers are going to be huge for the Seahawks in this game as they can really get the crowd rolling with an early takeaway or two.

Before the game, Sherman spent time warming up with Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin, one of his good friends and a teammate at Stanford before both joined the National Football League in Seattle.
