Embiid's spin move into a one-handed jam earned a smile and applause from Thomas Embiid, a colonel in the Cameroon military who is visiting from the family's home country and plans to spend a few weeks with his MVP candidate son.

Butler's first game may have turned into a bust after the Sixers were embarrassed in a road loss to the Orlando Magic.

Embiid was aces against the Knicks.

"Every team and every game is different", said Simmons, who contributed 14 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.

Australian point guard Simmons had 14 points, eight rebounds and seven assists and the sharp-shooting Redick poured in 24 points as the Sixers improved their imposing home record to 11-1.

Philly's last home game was a rare disaster, a 121-112 loss to woeful Cleveland on Friday. Coach Brett Brown said the Sixers didn't play with spirit against the Cavs.

Marvel to release Avengers 4 trailer on Friday
Feige had previously told IGN that the secrecy surrounding the title had "backfired" on Marvel. Avengers 4 is scheduled to be released in theaters on May 3, 2019.

"We didn't have an answer for any of them", Knicks coach David Fizdale said.

Rudy Gobert had 23 points and 16 rebounds for the Jazz, while Australian swingman Joe Ingles chimed in with seven points, seven rebounds and five assists. Jimmy Butler hit a 3 in the third to make it 86-58.

Enes Kanter and Mario Hezonja each scored 17 points for the Knicks, who have played 9 of 12 games on the road. The Sixers emptied the bench as the lead stretched to 31 points and won for the sixth time in seven games.

Russell Westbrook scored 23 points on 10-of-17 shooting while grabbing 19 rebounds and 15 assists in the Thunder's 100-83 win over the Cavaliers.

Westbrook's triple-double was his third this season - all in the last four games - and the 107th of his career, matching Jason Kidd and trailing only Oscar Robertson (181) and Magic Johnson (138). Butler's quiet night had little impact on the outcome as the Knicks had no answer for Joel Embiid and JJ Redick, and it apparently had equally little impact on the outlook of the newest Sixer, as Brian Seltzer of the team's website noted. He is expected to return to full basketball activities in about six months.

Earlier in the day, the Jazz agreed to acquire veteran shooting guard Kyle Korver from the Cleveland Cavaliers, to help their shooting from beyond the arc.
