Michigan Climbs Into Top 5 in Latest AP Rankings

MI has climbed to No. 5 in the latest AP Top 25 poll after impressive wins against ranked opponents. The top four teams have remained the same, as Gonzaga, Kansas, Duke and Virginia sit atop the poll.

Week 5 brought three newcomers to the AP Top 25: Arizona State (No. 20), Nebraska (24), and Furman (25).

Meanwhile, North Carolina has fallen to the No. 14 spot, and Oregon, Texas and Purdue have crashed out of the Top 25.

It continues a rapid ascent for the Wolverines, which played in the national championship game last season.
