Sandra Oh, Andy Samberg to host the 2019 Golden Globes next month

NBC has named the hosts of the 76th annual Golden Globe Awards.

"Sandra and Andy are the flawless choices to host this world-class event", said Paul Telegdy and George Cheeks, Co-Chairmen, NBC Entertainment.

Samberg and Oh had a memorable back-and-forth during the Primetime Emmys back in September, recreating the infamous 2017 Oscars flub in which Warren Beatty incorrectly announced that "La La Land" won for Best Picture, when the victor was, in fact, "Moonlight".

Samberg is a former writer and player on "Saturday Night Live", and a member of satire comedy group the Lonely Island.

The Killing Eve star and the Brooklyn Nine-Nine comedian will follow in the footsteps of this year's host, Seth Meyers, next January.

"We're excited to welcome Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg as co-hosts of Hollywood's party of the year", said the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) president, Meher Tatna. The Golden Globes serve as the official kickoff to the 2019 awards season. "Both Golden Globe Award recipients have continually showcased their talents in film and television, and we can't wait see what their undeniable chemistry will bring to the Golden Globes stage".

Samberg is a two-time Golden Globe victor for Brooklyn Nine-Nine, while Oh won a Globe in 2006 for her work on ABC's Grey's Anatomy.

Produced by dick clark productions in association with the HFPA, the Golden Globe Awards are viewed in more than 210 territories worldwide.
