Milwaukee Bucks trade Matthew Dellavedova to Cleveland Cavaliers for George Hill

Milwaukee Bucks guard Mattew Dellavedova is being traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Friday.

In exchange, the Cavaliers will send guard George Hill and a 2021 second round pick (Washington's via Utah) to the Bucks and forward Sam Dekker to the Wizards.

"I'm glad my Aussie brother is back", Cavs center Tristan Thompson said following a 129-110 loss to Sacramento.

The Washington Wizards entered the mix as the third team in the deal, acquiring Sam Dekker for Jason Smith and a future second-round pick.

Sexton is fourth among rookies this season in scoring (per Basketball Reference), and although he's only averaging 2.5 assists per game, Hill should get some credit for Sexton gradually improving in his willingness to get other players involved and his passing vision. "We wish Jason the best moving forward and appreciate the value he brought to our team as a great teammate and true professional". Both players pride themselves on being good defenders and being a nuisance on opposing point guards.

Per league rules, Burks can not be traded until the deadline.

The 28-year-old has had a tough start to the season under new Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer, averaging the fewest minutes of his career (8.1) after he fell out of the team's rotation. "Brings us veteran leadership, a guy that's won before, a guy that's going to push Collin [Sexton], control the game for the second unit and he'll make shots".

After the departure of LeBron James in the summer, the Cavaliers are officially in asset-acquisition mode and will be looking to re-stock their draft capital.

Dekker, who starred at Wisconsin before becoming the No. 18 overall pick in 2015, has been out for more than a month with an ankle injury.

The Cavs chose to "work with (Smith) in regard to his future", as the team said back in November, after he made repeated comments indicating he wanted to be traded.
