Game of Thrones unveils season 8 premiere date, new teaser trailer


HBO has released the first Game of Thrones Season 8 trailer, offering our first look at footage from the final season of the most popular series in the pay cable network's history.

It's safe to say that the final season of Game of Thrones has a lot to deliver and not a lot of time to do it, so let the countdown to the premiere begin! Season eight premieres April 14 - which means you have 90 days to recap all the previous seasons in anticipation of the grand finale. Go!

The teaser, 1 minute and 29 seconds long, shows the underground crypt of Winterfell, with the Stark siblings walking through it.

Jon and Arya haven't seen each other since series 1, when they had quite a strong brother-sister relationship, so the reunion will no doubt delight fans no end.
