Kollywood star Thala Ajith's latest outing Viswasam is performing well at the box office. Directed and written by Karthik Subbaraj, the film opened to a positive response and is earning huge at the ticket windows.
Petta recently crossed Rs 100-crore mark at the worldwide box office. The mass entertainer has earned Rs 4.81 crores in Chennai and is also ruling global markets like a boss. In his recent tweet, trade analyst Ramesh Bala pointed out, "The last time a #SuperstarRajinikanth movie opened at No.2 on Day 1 at the TN Box Office was Oct 25th, 1992 when #ThevarMagan opened better than #Pandian It took almost 27 years and #Thala #Ajith's #Viswasam opened better than #Petta at the TN Box office on Day 1 (Jan 10th, 2019)" (sic). However, in other parts of Tamil Nadu, Petta has lost the battle against Viswasam.
